　　在免疫组化切片染色中，有些显色底物 (如AEC，AP-Red) 生成的颜色产物以及一些核复染试剂 (如核快红) 为脂溶性的，可溶于有机溶剂。因此，如果染色和复染过程中用到这些试剂，就不适合用梯度酒精脱水、二甲苯透明、中性树胶封片，需要用水性封片剂进行封片。康为世纪水性封片剂适用于AEC、AP-Red染色，以及BCIP/NBT染色 (核快红复染)后封片。
